Wilburn Burnett

Wilburn Wayne Burnett, age 81, of Rockwall, TX passed away on January 7, 2021. Wilburn was born on April 25, 1939 in Emory, Texas, the son of Ira Burnett and Tempest (Vail) Burnett.

Wilburn is remembered as a hardworking man who cared deeply for his family. He was a god-fearing man and is remembered by his family as “A spit fire with short man syndrome” He served honorably in the United States Navy and was very proud of being a Sailor.

Wilburn is survived by; his children Laura Dee Burnett, Cynthia Lynn Bolton and husband Kyle, Alison Marie Stevens and husband Terry;  grandchildren Lindsay Nieuwenhuis and husband Ryan, Derek Bolton and wife Tara, Shelby Dickerson and Ashley Dickerson,  3 great grandchildren; Siblings Billy Dale Burnett and wife Janis, Raymond Leon Burnett and wife Mary, Silva Leo Burnett and wife Kathleen, Basil Burk Burnett, Sharon Kay Burnett, Jimmie Paul Burnett, Vicki Sue Warren and husband Danny; along with numerous friends and family.

Wilburn was preceded in death by his parents
