Elmer Boyd

Elmer “Bill” Boyd, 85 of Wills Point passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020, in Tyler. Bill was born on September 24, 1934 in Buffalo, TX, the son of Austin and Lois (Goad) Boyd. He owned and operated an excavation service for many years. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Bill is preceded in his death by his wife, Rena L. Boyd; his parents, Austin and Lois Boyd; sister, Gladys Boyd; brothers, William Boyd and Benjamin Boyd.

Bill’s family members who are cherishing the memories of his life are his daughters, Patricia Gerdes and Brenda Blauvelt and her husband Stan; sons, Billy Boyd and his wife Kandy and Ronnie Boyd and his wife Kathy; brothers, J. D. Boyd and Gary Boyd and his wife Rebecca; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation and viewing will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday, August 24, 2020 at Quinlan Funeral Home. The funeral service will start at 1:00 pm and the burial will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Park.
