Betty Wayt

Graveside service for Betty Jean Wayt, age 82, of Quinlan will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Lakeside Memorial Park in Quinlan, Texas with Adam Williams officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Cory Parker, Jeremy Robinson, Jayden Robinson, Mason Nelson, and Jack Heart. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Quinlan Funeral Home. Mrs. Wayt passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at her home.

Betty was born on March 20, 1939 in Brownwood, Texas to Johnny Owens and Leona Slovak. She worked as a production specialist at a manufacturing plant. In her free time she enjoyed painting, crocheting, and reading.

She is survived by her brother, Rick Owens and wife, Karen; daughter, Glenda Parker and husband, Joe; sons, Larry Burkham and wife, Theresa, and Wayne Wayt; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Leona Pavlicek; sister, Johnnie Meitzen; and brother, Nick Owens.
