Verda Scroggins

Verda Faye Scroggins, 83, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Verda Faye was born in Paris, TX on March 30, 1929 to her parents Oddie Dunmon and Roxie (Chambers) Dunmon. She married Leon Morgan (Dock) Scroggins, Sr. and had 3 children. She was a past president of the American Veteran Auxiliary Club 36 of West Tawakoni. Verda Faye is survived by her sons, Leon Scroggins, Jr., Jack Scroggins and Dennis Scroggins; grandchildren, Angie Sabo, Dennis Bubba Scroggins, and Joe Bob Scroggins. Five great-grandchildren, numerous step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Verda Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Dock Scroggins, her parents, Oddie and Roxie, brothers, Dick Dunmon and Jack Dunmon and infant sister, Ruby Lee Dunmon. Services will be held Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Quinlan Funeral Home. Brother Lloyd Catlett will officiate. Internment will be out at DFW National Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
