Tiffanye Denise Smith-Walker, a homemaker in Quinlan, Texas, passed away on July 12, 2026, at 9:27 PM at the age of 47.
Tiffanye is survived by her mother, Linda K. Cashion; stepfather, Leland O. Cashion; spouse, Craig T. Slavens; four children, Jonathan, Trevor, Tucker, and Jacob Smith; three grandchildren, Sailor, Elias, and Wiatt Smith; and one stepbrother, Leland E. Cashion.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Macklin J. Walker; son, Tanner L. Smith; grandparents, Wilton J. Bellot and Sandra S. Norman; and brother, Robert R. Ragan, Jr.
Tiffanye married James P. Smith on December 8, 1995, in Mesquite, Texas and had five children. She also had three daughters-in-law: Raven, Kellie, and Alyssa. Kellie would often come over to help her when she called, and Alyssa was there with her at the end. Tiffanye had many friends and cousins, and everyone loved her. She was always there to help someone. She was so excited to be a grandmother. The three little ones called her NeNe. She was happy to be there for her nieces and nephews.
Tiffanye kept God and the Lord Jesus in her heart. She prayed daily and prayed for everyone who needed prayer. She never said no when someone needed help.
She loved playing games, and her brothers would often protect her. But she would fight with them just as quickly, too. She wouldn’t hesitate to punch a boy in the face if he did something wrong. Being raised with two brothers made her strong. They were there for each other when it mattered. She and Craig would go to her mother’s and drink coffee sitting around the table, reading the Bible and learning about the Lord. It would start in the morning, and before they knew it, the kids would be coming home from school. She really enjoyed learning about the Lord.
We all can take comfort in knowing she’s with God because she loved him just as much as she loved us all. She not only will be missed but will be in our hearts forever. Her memory will live on, and she will never be forgotten.
Funeral service for Tiffanye will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 10:00 am at Quinlan Funeral Home. Visitation will take place one hour prior at Quinlan Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Park.
