Terry Lynn Briggs, age 70, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 15, 2024 at his home in Point, TX.
Terry was born January 5, 1954 to Ervin B. and Maxine (Dodson) Briggs in Greenville, TX. In the early 1980s, Terry worked as a deputy sheriff in Rains County. He also worked at Texas Instruments and E-System as a security guard.
Terry loved the outdoors. He was always wanting to go deer hunting and fishing. He never turned down an opportunity to do either one.
Terry is survived by his daughter, Kelley Lipscomb and husband, Brian; son, Craig Briggs and wife, Jess; stepson, Aaron Hernandez; six grandchildren, Tre, Ty, Kai, Kyndal, Saydie, and Masen. He is also survived by his three sisters, Sherry Cone and husband, Roger, Penny Burns and husband, Ronnie, and Tammy Young. He has numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins that survive him. Terry is also survived by his best friend and companion, Ruby; and lifelong friend, David Bohannon.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Johnny Briggs.
Per Terry's wishes, there will be no formal service. He will be cremated and buried next to his parents at Lone Star Cemetery in Point, TX. At a later date there will be a get-together for family and friends to celebrate his life.
