Taffie Green

Taffie Lee Green, 82, of Quinlan passed away on October 24, 2011 in Rowlett. She was born on August 15, 1929 in Frisco, the daughter of William Ernest and Hazel Frances (Powell) Harwell. She married Joe Levi Green who preceded her in death on October 31, 2003. Taffie was a telephone operator for South Western Bell for many years and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Quinlan. Her family that is remembering her life are her children, Joe Lee Green and wife Janice of Quinlan, Sue Phillips and husband Floyd of Quinlan, Rhonda Booher and husband Tim of Quinlan, Sandy Dickerson and husband Dale of Quinlan, and Nova Coleman and husband Scott of Rogers, AR.; her grandchildren, Joe Lee Green II and wife Jessica, Melissa Sue Philips Doyle and husband Heath, Jason Lee Green and wife Christy, Timothy Wayne Booher II and wife Lindey, Edward Dale Dickerson, Jr. and wife Jessica, Ashley Lynn Booher Shaddox and husband Chris, and Destini Page Coleman; her great grandchildren, Emma Marie Phillips Doyle, Kelby Thomas Lane Green, Beau Dawson Rameriaz, Brenda Faith Booher, Timothy Wayne Booher III, Jesse Oliver Dickerson, Triniti Dawn Spicer, Hunter Brock Shaddox, Everett James Booher, Hayden Kade Rameriaz, Abbigail Booher, and Baby Green; her sisters, Annette Blakney and husband Bob of Quinlan, Barbara Jeff Stuart of Dallas, Patsy Alice Goodrich and husband Ewing of Allen, and Sharon Frances Clark and husband James of Dallas; her brothers, Danny Edward Harwell of Quinlan and Michael Ray Harwell and wife Marty of Mesquite; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Green is also preceded in her death by her parents, Ernest and Hazel Harwell of Dallas; son, Forrest Edward Green, December 9, 1987; grandson, Thomas Joe Philips, March 29, 1998; one sister, Margie Gibson of Mesquite; her brothers, Kenneth Harwell of Mesquite, Rex Harwell of Mesquite, and Troy Harwell of Dallas. Funeral service is planned for Friday, October 28, 2011at the First united Methodist Church of Quinlan, 2:00 pm, with Pastor Mike House officiating. Her burial will follow the service in Lakeside Memorial Park. Visitation with the family is on Thursday, October 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. All arrangements were made through Quinlan Funeral Home.
