Sylvia Jo Walker, born Sylvia Jo Bradley in Spartanburg, South Carolina on May 3, 1949, passed away peacefully at her home in Poetry, Texas on April 21, 2024.

Sylvia led a fulfilling life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. She dedicated twenty-three years of hard work at Nieman Marcus before spending another twenty years at Lowes in Rockwall. Her playful nature and warm personality endeared her to all who knew her. Sylvia had a knack for making people laugh with her jokes and pranks, especially when playing games with the children or solving word find puzzles together. She found joy in the simple things like watching deer and hummingbirds while tending to her beloved plants. In her free time, Sylvia indulged in various hobbies such as reading, woodworking, crafts, puzzles, knitting, and even trying her luck at the casino. Cooking for her family during holidays was another way she expressed her love and care for those closest to her. Among Sylvia's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She found immense joy in their presence and cherished every moment spent together. Attending George Strait's concert was a special highlight for Sylvia that brought immense happiness to her heart.

Sylvia is survived by sons Tommy Walker and wife Misty, Ronnie Allan Walker; daughter Kerry Athey; grandchildren Christopher Walker, Justin Walker, Ginger Nix, Christina Zachary, Sara Zachary, Austin Walker, Tanner Walker, Mason Walker; as well as fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ronnie Walker; her mother Gladys Bradley; father Luther Bradley; and brother Mike Bradley.
