Sarah Lynn Barbee

Sarah Lynn Barbee of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on September 25, 2025 at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after an unexpected illness at the age of 73 years old. She was born May 24, 1952 in Waco, Texas.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Barbee and Mary Ruth Cooper Barbee of San Antonio, TX.

Sarah is survived by her brother Rod Barbee of Beaumont, TX, sister Becky Barbee Coon of Edmond, OK, nieces and nephews Clifford Barbee, Brandice Richards, James Coon, Jennifer Couch, Suzanne Coon, a host of great nieces and nephews, and friends, co-workers, and work associates.

Sarah graduated from MacArthur High School in San Antonio, Texas and received a Bachelor of Science in Business from University of Texas in Austin. She worked 30 years as the Procurement Manager for Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. Sarah enjoyed playing her accordion and flute. She loved her family and cats dearly.

Sarah made her profession of faith when she was a teenager at Calvary Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. After the family moved to San Antonio, she attended Northeast Baptist Church. When she moved to Edmond, OK, Sarah became a faithful member of First Baptist Church until her health prevented her attendance.

Graveside services will be held at the IOOF Cemetery Wednesday October 8th, 2025 at 2:00 pm.

Sarah will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
