Sallie Ramona Holcomb

We are heartbroken to share that Sallie Ramona Holcomb, age 78, of Marrowbone, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, at her daughter's home in Point, Texas.

Sallie was born on July 31, 1946, in Afton, Texas, to Addie and Henry Lowrance. She was the sixth of seven siblings. On May 25, 1962, she married her high school sweetheart, Eddie McCracken, and the following year, they welcomed their only child, Sheila. In 1988, Sallie married Mike Holcomb, and the two later relocated—first to California, then to Kentucky. There, she found joy working with the team at SpanTech Conveyors in Glasgow, KY, until retirement. She later spent five years driving a medical transport bus, followed by another five years working alongside Mike in his thriving BBQ business before they both retired.

Sallie is survived by her husband, Mike Holcomb; her daughter, Sheila Purvis, and son-in-law, Russel Purvis; stepdaughter, Cindy Cox; stepson, Mike Holcomb, Jr.; granddaughter, Adelena Purvis; grandson, Eric Williams; step-granddaughter, Tara Purvis; step-grandson, Derek Purvis; her sisters, Naoma Cline and Beth Fisher; her brothers, Bud and Richard Lowrance; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
