Ruth Tucker

Ruth Sleeper Tucker , 80, of Terrell and formally of Quinlan, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on December 24, 2016 in Dallas. She was born in Waco on January 2, 1936 to her parents, Thomas Markham Sleeper and Jennie Bess (Holmes) Sleeper. She married Billy Tucker and they were blessed with three children. Ruth worked in bookkeeping and accounting. She will be remembered by her friends and family as a person who loved to fish, go bowling, and spending time with her family and grandkids.

Ruth is preceded in her death by her husband Billy Tucker and her parents, Thomas and Jennie Sleeper.

Those who are cherishing the memories of her life are her children, Sharon Tucker and Tina Campise of Heath, Allen Tucker and his wife Angie of Quinlan, and Susan Vaden and her husband Billy of West Tawakoni; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Sleeper and his wife Barbara of Grand Prairie; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A public visitation with her family will be held on Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Quinlan Funeral Home. Her graveside service will be on Thursday morning at 11:00 in the Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas with Rev. Jeff Burton officiating.
