Ray Davies

Ray Paul Davies, resident of Quinlan, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010 in Greenville. He was 80. His visitation was Monday, December 06, 2010 from 6-8pm at the Quinlan Funeral Home with the Funeral Service on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Quinlan Funeral Home. Mr. Davies was born on March 19, 1930 in Quinlan, the son of Frank and Kate Davies. He was retired from E-Systems and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He is survived by his wife Bettye Jane Davies, daughter Sherry Ryan and husband Tom of Austin, son Robert Wayne Young and wife Debra of Quinlan, daughter Sue Davies Barrow of Quinlan, nephew Pierce Ables of Dallas, niece Andrea Ables Smith and husband Josh of Austin, sister Jean Davies Simpson and husband Dempsey of Abilene, brother Bob Davies of Seguin grandchildren, Leslie Ryan Comstock and husband Cory, Amy Young Carroll and husband Cash, Matt Young and Lindsey Barrow Anderson and husband Craig, 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, son-n-law John C. Barrow IV, sister Ruth Egger, brother Bill Davies, grandchildren John and Jacob Barrow and Jeff Beheler.
