Melvin Lawdermilk

Melvin Ronald Lawdermilk passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 22, 2017. Mel was born in San Angelo on September 7, 1943 to Cub and Corrinne Lawdermilk. His joy in life was to see his children and watch his grandchildren play ball. Mel loved to play golf when he wasn't busy working on his small farm. He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Mertzon.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Gaye; children, Rocky (Christi) Lawdermilk and Wendy (Mike) Hoffmann; five grandchildren, Parker, Gage, Lila, Meryl, and Aiden; sisters-in-law, Jean Lawdermilk, Faye Cleek, and Louise Thompson; brothers-in-law, Johnny Thompson, and Carl Bergman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Milton Lawdermilk; and sister, Carolyn Bergman.

Funeral services will be held at Quinlan Funeral Home on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Wieland Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
