Maxine Medders

Maxine Medders, 85, passed away at her home in Point Texas on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Maxine was born on July 19, 1929 to Clarence and Mamie Stewart in Monett, Arkansas. Maxine met and later married Billy Medders in 1975 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Maxine spent her time creating and maintaining a loving and safe home for her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and work in her garden. She loved to feed her birds and play with her cats. But Maxine's greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and friends. Her warm heart and infectious smile will truly be missed by all who knew her. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mamie Stewart; brothers, Tommy, James, Wallace, and Roy; sisters, Patsy and Amanda; son, David Hardin; as well daughter, Carolyn Hardin. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Billy Medders; sons, Johnny Nipper, Ronnie Medders and his wife Jean Ann, Ricky Medders; daughter, Linda Walker and her husband George Johnson; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Wilkerson, Sandy Houser and her husband Richard, Brenda Stewart; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.at Point Funeral Home Chapel in Point Texas. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. also at Point Funeral Home Chapel in Point, Texas. The interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Clifton Cemetery. Reverend Joe Ballard will officiate.
