Mary Land

Mary Hazel Land, 60; passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 in Greenville, Texas. Mary was born to William Robert and Mary Katherine Osteen in Dallas, Texas. Mary was truly compassionate soul. She spent her life in the care of others. She provided a safe and happy home for her husband and children. She worked as a caregiver and babysitter, pouring her life and her love into others no matter what their age or condition. She surely had a servants heart for those around her. She always had a smile; a hug; and an open heart for all those she met. She truly touched those around her. She will be missed. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary. She is survived by her sons, Steven DeFreze, Tad DeFreze, Robert DeFreze and his wife Anne, Vincent Land and his wife Jennifer; daughter, Tanya Gibson and her husband Josh; husband, Mark Land; grandchildren Ashley and Alyssa Gibson, Lydia and Haley Land; brothers, William Earl Osteen and his wife Delinda, Danny Osteen and Tommy Osteen; sisters, Kitty Durham, Eunice Harris and her husband Dennis, Dianna Westbrook and her husband Henry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. A celebration of Marys life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
