MARY DICKERSON

Mary Lou "Sissy" Dickerson, 79, of Quinlan, passed away on March 1, 2016 in Greenville. She was born on August 8, 1936 in Quinlan, to the parents, Jimmy Kennemer and Willie (Aldridge) Kennemer. She worked for Hagger Slacks in Greenville for 17 years and 29 years for Savemart Food Stores in Quinlan in the meats department. She was married to James Dickerson for forty years.

Sissy is preceded in death by her husband, James Dickerson; her parents, Jimmy and Willie Kennemer; two brothers; and six sisters.

Those that are cherishing the memory of her life are her sons, Edward Dale Dickerson and his wife Sandy of Lone Oak, Robert Lee Dickerson and his wife Tina of Queen City, and Billy James Dickerson and his wife Joyce of Springtown; her Chihuahua, "Little Bit;" grandchildren, Dale Dickerson, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Lone Oak, Eric Dickerson and his wife Jericka of Wills Point, Cary Dickerson of Springtown, Shelby Dickerson of Plano, Ashley Dickerson of Denver, CO., Cristi Sharp and her husband Brett of Springtown; great grandchildren, Jessie Dickerson, Eric Dickerson, Jr., Landon Sharp, and Garrett Sharp; two sisters, Eva May Goode of Lone Oak and Verda Arnold of Quinlan.

Her funeral service will be 1:00pm Friday, March 4, 2016 in the chapel of Quinlan Funeral Home with Brother David Hammond Officiating. Visitation with the family will be Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. Her interment will follow the service in the Quinlan IOOF Cemetery.
