Mable Louise Johnson

Mable Louise Johnson, a devoted mother, grandmother, ordained minister, and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully at her residence on May 15, 2024. Born on December 23, 1944, in Dallas, Texas, Mable's life was marked by love, faith, and a vibrant spirit that touched all who knew her.

In early years, Mable attended B.H. Macon Elementary School and later graduated from Samuell High School in Dallas. She went on to have a successful career, working for Southwestern Bell and also serving as a waitress at Kips.

Those who knew Mable will always remember her for her strong personality and unwavering love for her church kids. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and cherished. One cherished memory shared by her daughter Cathy is of Mable playfully chasing her around the doctor's office to ensure she received the necessary vaccinations to start school. Mable found solace in simple joys like singing, shopping, and crafting.

Mable leaves behind a legacy of love carried on by her surviving family: daughters Cathy Gonzalez, Betty Pelham, Christina Cline; grandchildren Paul Pelham, Tabitha Pelham, Christian Colby, Mac Colby; nine great-grandchildren; sister Mary Austin; brother-in-law Randy Austin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
