Lucas Grant Tenery

Lucas Grant Tenery gained his angel wings on January 18, 2024, at his home in Quinlan surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on June 4 ,2016 in Dallas, Texas to his parents Stormy Crescini and Tyler Tenery.

Lucas was such a vibrant little boy and always made friends wherever he went. Lucas had many things he found interest in, but the most important things to him, besides family and friends, were his action figures, dinosaurs, Pepsi, and French fries. He always carried a backpack full of his toys everywhere he went. Lucas loved firetrucks and dreamed of being a fireman when he grew up. His dream came true in December 2023 when he became a member of two fire departments. Lucas always made everyone’s day just a little bit better by simply being himself. He was always singing, dancing, smiling, and running around with his brother Holton, many cousins, and friends. Lucas faced a myriad of challenges in this last year, but that never stopped him from making an impact on each person he encountered. Those who knew Lucas, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Despite his battle with DIPG, (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma,) Lucas never lost his sense of humor and was the brightest light in the darkest room. To know Lucas was to Love Lucas. “Our Grief is LOVE with nowhere to go.”

Lucas is survived by his mother, Stormy Crescini of Quinlan, TX; father Tyler Tenery and bonus-mom Samantha Lairsey of Quinlan, TX; brother Holton Tenery of Quinlan, TX; step brother and sisters Jace, Coralia and Stevie of Quinlan, TX; grandparents John and Crystal Harris of Missouri,  Donald Eugene Rister and Audrey Michelle Rister of Magnolia, TX, David Wayne Tenery and Keely Kiser of Kaufman, TX; great-grandpa Houston Seely of Quinlan, TX; aunts and uncles Wes Elliott and Brittani Nelms of Commerce, TX, Chris Elliott of Quinlan, TX, Josh and CJ Gilbert of Quinlan, TX, Kaycee Mead of The Colony, TX, Austin Tenery of Mesquite, Marshall Tenery of Rowlett, TX; and cousins Breckett, Abagail, Harley, Abby, JR, Xander, Amelia, Trae, Colt, Barrett; and many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Darlene Seely.
