Lola Thomasson

Lola Mae Thomasson, 90, of Quinlan, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011in the peace of her home with her loving family surrounding her. Lola was born on August 13, 1920 in Thackerville, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joel and Dessie Pearl (Kennedy) Alexander. She married Emery Arvil Thomasson and he precedes her in death. Lola was a loving wife and a dear mother to her children. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Quinlan and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Lola was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Clint Thomasson; great-granddaughter, Dominque Thomasson; five brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Thomasson is survived by her children, Patsy Holland of Timpson, Tinnie Faye Key of Gun Barrel City, Mac Thomasson of Atoka, OK, Lee Thomasson of Eustace, B. J. Thomasson of Scurry, Darlene Lane of Canton, Jim Thomasson of Cooksville, TN, Job Thomasson of Malakolf, Isaiah Thomasson of Quinlan; cousin Anna Lee Hubbard of Irving; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Her family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3-5 pm at Quinlan Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be 1:00 pm Monday, January 17 in the chapel at Quinlan Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Lakeside Memorial Park. The family request memorials be made to the Hospice Home Healthcare Program.
