Lewis Vern Bond, 95, passed away in Sulphur Springs on January 27, 2012. He was born in Sasakwa, Oklahoma on March 27, 1916 to Monte and deSae Bond. Lewis served our country during WWII in the 45th infantry, Army Nation Guard. He was a member of the VFW Post 2559 in West Tawakoni and lived in Quinlan for many years. Lewis is survived by his wife Joyce Wilson Bond, daughter Connie and husband Jim Lannom of Pottsboro, TX, grandson Jim Lannon Jr and wife Juli of Allen, TX, and granddaughter Michelle and husband Dan Mesenbrink of Southlake, TX. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren and 1 sister Willeen Harrison. Lewis is proceded in death by his parents, brother Tuss Bond, brother H. D. Bond, sister Aunt Doodle Bond and first wife Florence Virginia Bond.
