Judy Hood

Judy Hood, 82, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away at home surrounded by family on June 19, 2026.

Judy was born on August 1, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee to Arthur Neely, Jr. and Mary Poole, where she graduated high school and met her husband, Joe Hood. Judy and Joe moved to Dallas, Texas after they had their first child, Jeffrey, where she was a homemaker and had their second child, Tammy. They moved to Quinlan, Texas in 1983 where they lived out their lives.

Judy is survived by her brother, Jerry Neely of Nashville, TN; son, Jeffrey Hood and wife Nikki of Quinlan; daughter, Tammy Bolden and husband Wendall Ray of Quinlan; grandchildren, Wendall Joe Bolden and wife Tonya of Greenville, Jason Bolden of Quinlan; Bryan Bolden and wife Kara of Quinlan; Kenna Hood of Rockwall Debra Bolden of Greenville; great-grandkids, Kaylee, Khloe, Carson, Kyson, and Kynlee, whom she loved very much.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Neely, Jr. and Mary Poole; and her husband of 52 years, Joe Hood.

Judy loved to spend time with her family and listen to country music on the back porch. She also loved to go bowling with her husband Joe, go on cruises, and take trips to Vegas. Judy loved to go to the dirt track to watch Wendall Joe, Jason, Bryan, Carson, and Kyson race. She is going to be deeply missed by her family and everyone who knew her.

Funeral service will be at Quinlan Funeral Home in Quinlan, Texas on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Graveside service will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Wendall Joe Bolden, Jason Bolden, Bryan Bolden, Randy Hood, Eric Bradly, and Bobby Isbell.
