Joan Ellen Quintana

Joan Ellen Quintana was born on June 19, 1942 in Jackson, Michigan to Leitha and Newell Raymond, who preceded her in death. Joan's life was defined by love, devotion, strength, and deep family bonds.

She is survived by her loving husband, Max Quintana; brother, Dean Raymond; children, Thomas Chapman (Mari), Chris Cyphers (Kathy), Leitha Russell (Larry, Jr.), and Mechelle Manifold (John). Joan also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 39 , and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom were a source of great joy and pride in her life.

Max Quintana says goodbye with these words: "You were a diamond in the rough, my rock--and I will always hear you calling my name, 'Max!'"

Joan's sunrise was June 19, 1942, and her sunset was December 10, 2025.

A memorial service in Joan's honor will be held at Quinlan Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Christopher Walton officiating.

Joan Ellen's final message to her husband Max and her family was one of love and grace: "You might not have gotten to spend the rest of your life with me, but I got to spend the rest of my life with you. There is beauty in that."
