Jesse Don Moses

Funeral service for Jesse Don Moses, age 75, of Greenville will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Mr. Moses passed away in his home on Friday, December 23, 2022.  

Don was born on November 29, 1947 in Graham, TX to Jesse Leroy Moses and Virginia Wright Phillips. He received a bachelor’s degree from college in Canton, Missouri, and master’s degree in industry & technology from East Texas State University. Don was a Vietnam Veteran, and served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in September 1989. During the years Don served in the military, he was stationed in many places; some including South Dakota, Da Nang Vietnam, Illinois, Florida, Valdosta, Georgia, Columbus, Mississippi for three years, Carswell Air Force Base in Ft. Worth, and Panama for 4 ½ years. On November 29, 1985 in Panama City, Panama, Don married the love of his life, Margarita Rojas. Don enjoyed art, working, hunting, fishing, cooking and serving others.

He is survived by his wife, Margarita of Greenville, two brothers, Gary Wayne and wife Laura of Yantis, TX, Darrell Lynn and wife Erin of Lone Oak, and five children; sons Jarrod Don and wife Le of Houston, TX, Justin Daniel of Houston; daughters Jeanna Terrell and husband Steve of Houston, Jamie Shell and husband Everett of Celina, Jenny Lake and husband David of Mesa, AZ; nine grandchildren, Jacqueline, Josephine, Joy, Jordan, Judah, Elias, London, Jonah, and Everly. 

Of all the places Don had lived and traveled to, Don loved Greenville, TX. He said, “I had seen all I needed to see; Greenville was always my home.” Don was proceeded in death by his parents. He asked in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his favorite charity, The Church of Jesus Christ Humanitarian Services.
