April 23, 1943 — June 27, 2016
James Young, 73, of Point passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at his residence. Funeral service will be 11:00am Friday, July 1, at Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Ratliff and Rev. Elmer Yates officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be 6:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, June 30, at Quinlan Funeral Home.
James was born April 23, 1943 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to James Gilbert Young Sr. and Artie Ammie Ring Young. He married Patricia Lynn Wheeler on June 10, 1981 in Hunt County. James drove a truck most of his life, but he also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 13 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 35 years Patricia Young of Point; children Jodie Este of Pauls Valley, OK, Tammy Danker and husband Tim of North Richland Hills, Cindy Carr and husband James of Quinlan, James Gilbert Young III of Sulphur, OK, Tricia Lindsey and husband Carl of Point, Angela Holloway and husband Scott of Pauls Valley, OK, Joshua Young and wife Holley of Greenville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents; Son Aubrey Lee Young Jr.; sisters Martha Davis, Jimmie Guthrie, Eva Kniffen, and Ruby Dobbins.
