Geraldine Black, 81, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away on August 30, 2025. She was born on December 11, 1943, in Pittsburg, Texas, to Claudine and Mary Patterson.
Geraldine grew up in Dallas and graduated from W. W. Samuel High School in 1962. She was known for her kind heart and generous spirit, always putting her family and loved ones first.
She enjoyed the simple joys of life—sitting on her porch watching the deer and birds, browsing the flea market, playing games, and taking golf cart rides. Her warmth and laughter created cherished memories for all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
Geraldine is survived by her brother, Glenn Patterson; her son, Jimmy Black and his wife Angie; her daughter, Julie Wilson and her husband Mike; grandsons Robert Dobbins, Ryan Dobbins, Jeremy Black, Scott Wilson, James Wilson, Trace Black, and Seth Wilson; granddaughter Miranda Walden and her husband Vance; five great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Patterson, and her beloved daughter, Natalie “Jill” Dobbins.
Geraldine’s legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
