George Otis Hargus

George Otis Hargus was born July 7, 1929 in Texarkana, Arkansas—93 years ago. He went to his heavenly home March 4, 2023 with his family by his side.

George served his country in the Korean War. When George was not working on a project or two (ha ha), he would love to go fishing and boat riding. He loved his family and was a loving and devoted “Pappa” to his grandchildren.

George is survived by his loving wife Jo; they had forty-five years together. He is also survived by his children, two daughters, one son, and one stepson; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandbaby and another one due in August; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

George was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother, and also by his loyal and devoted companions “Sam,” his beautiful Red Healer.
