Freda Bentley Hamel

Freda Bentley Hamel, age 64, passed away peacefully at her home in Quinlan, Texas on September 15, 2022 surrounded by her family. Freda was born June 27,1958 to Hazel and John Bentley in Detroit, Michigan. She loved to be around family and spent much time with friends watching soaps. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother. Freda married her soulmate Jonathan on October 12th, 1975 in Mason, Michigan and through the years made their home in Quinlan, Texas where she worked in retail. 

Freda is proceeded in death by her mother Hazel and father John. She is survived by her husband Jonathan (JJ) Hamel of Quinlan, Texas; brother John Bentley, sister Connie McCloskey, and sister Carlene Doyle, all of Coraden, Indiana; granddaughter Trisha Hamel of Port St. Lucy, Florida; and two grandsons, Dillion and Trevor Hamel, both of Mesquite, Texas. She is also survived by an adopted daughter, Wendy Pollard, as well as grandsons Kevin, Dalton, and Daniel. As per the family no arrangements will be made at this time. There will be a private family memorial scheduled at a later date.
