Fred Bennett

June 25, 1927 — May 8, 2017

Fred O. Bennett, 89, of Quinlan passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 in Dallas. He was born June 25, 1927 the son of William Jasper and Mary Blaydes Bennett in Dallas. In 1948, he married Norma J. Lynch in Dallas, she survives. Fred worked for Taylor Publishing Company for 40 years before retirement.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Karen Van Roy (Jeff); grandchildren, Amanda Morrissey (Chad), Dustin Van Roy (Jessica), and Laura Thomas; great-grandchildren, Celest Thomas, Olivia Thomas, Makenna Morrissey, Luca Morrissey, Haleigh VanRoy, and Kendall VanRoy; and sister, Virginia Berry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Cynthia Ann Moody.
Donations may be made to the SPCA or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
