In Loving Memory of Frank John Slovacek Jr.
March 19, 1954 – June 9, 2025
Frank John Slovacek Jr., 71, of West Tawakoni, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2025, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family.
Born on March 19, 1954, in Limestone, Maine, Frank was the cherished son of Frank Slovacek Sr. and Margie Slovacek. From the very beginning, he lived a life full of color, character, and connection.
Frank was many things to many people—beloved father, proud Pawpaw, loyal brother, devoted uncle, a second dad to so many in the BMX community, especially the Sweathog team, and unforgettable friend. His presence was unmistakable, and his spirit unforgettable.
You might have met him at the family grocery store, Margie’s, where he spent countless years greeting customers with warmth and humor, or from his time cheering from the sidelines of a BMX race, selling you fireworks, telling stories at a deer lease, laughing in a bar in New Orleans, or relaxing by the waves in Galveston. Wherever Frank was, you knew it—his voice, his laughter, and his charisma filled every room and every open sky.
Frank had a magnetic way about him—not just for his wild and wonderful stories or his perfectly timed jokes—he had a gift for turning ordinary moments into fun memories.
His laugh—loud, genuine, and contagious—will echo in our hearts forever.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margie Slovacek, and his brother, Randy Slovacek.
He leaves behind a legacy of love in his son, Frank Slovacek III, and daughter-in-law, Dawn; and in his three treasured grandchildren: Miles, Georgia, and Hayes. He is also survived by his beloved sister and best friend, Lea Ann Watson; nephews Jackye Shouse (wife Chrissy, and great-nephews Brock and Logan) and Jamie Shouse (wife Angela, and great-nephews Ryland and Baer) Nephews Randy Slovacek Jr., Brian Harris and Travis Harris. and Penny.
Frank lived big, laughed hard, and loved deeply. We will carry his stories, his spirit, and his laughter with us always.
The family will celebrate the life of Frank at a later date in a private family gathering.
