Floyd Wilson Phillips, 76, of Quinlan passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020 in Rockwall. He was born in Tulsa, OK on September 19, 1943 the son of JD Phillips and Ollie Mae (Gunter) Phillips. Floyd married Sue Green in Quinlan on July 25, 1975. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Quinlan.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Melissa Doyle; granddaughter, Emma Doyle; son-in-law, Heath Doyle; sisters, Betty Borthick and Leah Smith (Wayne); brother-in-law, Joe Green (Janice); sisters-in-law, Rhonda Booher (Tim), Sandy Dickerson (Dale), and Nova Coleman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Thomas “Pete” Gunter; wife, Sue Phillips; son, Tommy Phillips; brother, Jerry Phillips; sister-in-law, Patsy Phillips; brothers-in-law, Forest Green and Carroll Borthick; and nephew, David Borthick.
Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Park with Heath Doyle, Austin Morgan, Jeremiah Smith, Jacob Smith, Joe Green, Jason Green, Dale Dickerson, Tim Booher, Ashley Shaddox, and Destini Coleman serving as honorary pallbearers.
