Dorothy Lonell Piechocki, 86 of Wills Point, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born on April 29, 1928 to Ellis and Johnnie Fields in Hopskinsville, Kentucky. Dorothy was a fabulous cook. She worked as a fry cook at various restaurants and diners in Terrell, Wills Point and other areas all over the east Texas area. Dorothy would meet and later marry John Piechocki on July 5, 1994 in Rockwall, Texas. Dorothy's passion was for her family. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren. Her open heart, giving spirit and infectious smile will be missed by all who knew her. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Johnnie Fields, son James Cockrum and daughter, Melinda Stephens; three sisters and one brother. Those left to celebrate Dorothy's life include her loving husband of twenty years, John Piechocki; sons, Alton Cockrum and his wife Sherri, Wendle Cockrum and his wife Sherri, Danny Cockrum and Doug Moses; daughters, Barbara Moses and her husband Wayne, Brenda Patterson, Debbie Moses, Linda Macias and Betty Jean Moses; thirty-five grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; as well numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Lake Creek Cemetery in Cooper, Texas.
