Dorothy Laura Jarrett, 94, of Dallas passed away on May 31, 2019 in Mesquite. She was born on May 13, 1925 in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of William Joseph and Laura Margaret (Harned) Goll. Dorothy married Jesse Jarrett Jr. on November 10, 1950 in Watonga, Oklahoma. Dorothy retired from Sears and Roebuck in 1987, worked as Telephone Operator at Bell Telephone.
Dorothy is preceded in her death by her husband; parents; son, Richard Joseph Frank; sisters, Eileen Wagner and Ann Stephens.
Dorothy’s family members who are cherishing the memories of her life are her sons, Bill Frank, Jesse C. Jarrett III; daughter, Vickie Cathey; sisters, Jeanne Marie Moudry, Barbara June Hager; grandchildren, Billy Clinton Stroud, Katana Lynn Gurkin, James Richard Cathey, Sheryl Raye-Lynn Cathey, Jesse Cleveland Cathey, John William-Jarrett Cathey, Kelly Jarrett; great-grandchildren, Lauren Gurkin, Garrett Gurkin, Chace Cathey, John Vakidis, Tatiana Vakidis, Jarrett Cathey, Chelsea Cathey, Colten Cathey, and Treston Cathey.
Dorothy will have a graveside service on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Lakeside Memorial Park, in Quinlan, Texas. In lieu of flowers, family is requesting memorials be made to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
