Dolphus Gantt

Dolphus Albert "Bud" Gantt, Jr. 62; passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 in Sunnyvale, Texas. Bud was born on February 28, 1952 to Dolphus and Loreene Gantt in Paris, Texas. Bud worked for Automatic Vending as a foreman mechanic for over thirty years before retiring. Bud had many loves in life. He loved stock car racing; ranching and being in the open fresh air of his ranch. But Bud's greatest passion was his family. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters just spending time with each other. He will truly be missed. Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Dolphus Sr. and Loreene Gantt; wife, Brenda Sue Gantt; sisters, Lois Gantt and Joyce Higgins. Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Bernadette Gantt; sons, Johnny Gantt, Wayne Logan and his wife Debra; daughters, Jamie Shivers and her husband Shawn, Kathleen Davis and Debra Logan; grandchildren, Casey, Shane, Summer, Shania, Lindsey, Blake, Jacob, Kaylie, Kaleb, Danielle, Ronnie and Johnny; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Floyd Gantt and his wife Channon, Michael Gantt and his wife Janice; sisters, Mary Ashton and her husband David, Nita Hickson and her husband Don, Beulah Roberts and her husband David; as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors. A private family celebration of Bud's life will be held at a later date. No public services are scheduled at this time.
