Debbie Jene Shakespeare, 84, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026. Born on August 16, 1941, Debbie lived a life anchored in devotion to her family, marked by quiet strength, warmth, and enduring love.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Tracy Shakespeare, who passed away in 2010; her son, John Ty Shakespeare, who passed away in 2003; and her brother, Eugene Cassidy, who passed away in 2010.
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Traci Ravelo, and her husband, Larry Ravelo. She leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, Ty Brooks Shakespeare, Aeron Ravelo, and Megan Ravelo, each of whom brought her great pride and joy. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Patricia Adkison and Kathy Cassidy.
Family was the center of Debbie’s world. She carried herself with grace, offered kindness freely, and leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through generations. Her presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Though we grieve her passing, we do so with hope and assurance. We take comfort in knowing that Debbie now rests in the presence of her Savior, and in the promise that this separation is only temporary. As Jesus tells us:
“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also.”
— John 14:1–3 (CSB)
Because of this promise, we hold fast to the blessed assurance that we will see her again in heaven.
