Daniel Irwin

Daniel Scott Irwin,, 65, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at his home in Wylie, Texas. Danny was born on February 2, 1948 to Orville and Mary Irwin in Jasper County, Missouri. Danny was a trucker. He loved the freedom of the open road and spent many days, week and months on the road, seeing new places and meeting new friends. Danny also loved sports. All sports. Any sports. But Danny was first and foremost a family man. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were his real passion and greatest joy. He will truly be missed. Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Mary; brothers, Richard Crenshaw, Robin Irwin and Ford Irwin. Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Brenda; sons, Bryan Brown and Robert Townsend and his wife Koree; daughters, Melissa Irwin, Dannette Read and her husband Pat, Renae Fregia and her husband Randy; sisters Charlotte Solomon, Deanie Campbell, Lynette Johnson Hardcastle, Nyla Sue Tilley; brother, Dale Irwin; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as, numerous, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Park in Quinlan, Texas.
