Clyde Franklin Logan, known as Sonny, age 74, of Lake Tawakoni, Texas, went to sleep in Jesus on September 12, 2026. Sonny was born on August 19, 1952 to Clyde Paul Logan and Lillie Carolina Logan in Dallas, Texas.

Sonny and his loving wife, Debra, of 45 years, are members of the SDA Church in Terrell, Texas, and active members of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, Kings Kruizers, in Greenville, Texas. He joined in 2004, spreading the gospel every chance he got. What most people would say about Sonny in his walk with the Lord is his faithfulness, loyalty, honesty, the way he helped people, and his love of spreading the Word to everyone he met. At work, he always wore his colors to open up doors to talk to people.

Sonny started driving dump trucks at an early age of 14. Then he went to OMC school, working on boats. Sonny opened his own business in 1989 as Sonny’s Boat Repair in West Tawakoni, and in 1993 he moved his business into the city of West Tawakoni, where he also began doing state inspections and adding the Muffler Shop. The business remains open; his son has run it since Sonny came down with cancer.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Debra Logan; sister, Susie Duke and husband, Truman Duke, of Bowie, Texas; son, Clyde Joe Logan of Lake Tawakoni; son, Michael Eugene Simpson and wife, Katie Simpson, of West Tawakoni; grandchildren, Lindsy Knight of West Virginia, Justin Paul Logan, Brandon Conner Simpson of West Virginia, Alexander Simpson of West Tawakoni, Cameron James Simpson of West Tawakoni, Harlie Michelle Simpson of West Tawakoni; niece, Stacie Duke-Tierny and husband Tom Tierny; and nephew, Steven Duke.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Paul Logan and Lillie Carolina Logan; grandparents, James Fanklin Logan and Era Maude Logan, Goldie Hendrix and Willie Hendrix.
