Charles Housewright

March 1, 1956 — January 10, 2013

Charles Richard Housewright, 56, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 in Denton, Texas. Charles was born to Jessie James and Maudie Fay Housewright on March 1, 1956 in Wylie, Texas. He first met and later married Tammy; but he lost her at an early age. His love for his children and his faith carried him through this tragedy. Charles was blessed with a second love, Connie. Their life together was a blessed and happy one. Charles was a man of few words; but he would let you know his opinion if he thought you were wrong. A gentle soul with a big heart, Charles thought more of others than he did himself. No one ever had a bad word to say about him. Charles loved fishing; but his passion was his family. He loved his wife; his children and his family. Charles also loved his Lord. When Charles heard his Saviors call home; he willingly and joyfully answered the call. We will miss him, but Charles would not want us to grieve; but rather rejoice in his home-going. Charles is safely home. He will truly be missed. Charles is preceded in death by his mother, Maudie and his brother Marvin Wayne. Those left to celebrate his life include his wife Connie; sons Dewayne Oliver and his wife Amy, Jason Housewright and Casey Housewright; daughter, Crystal Bivins; father Jessie Housewright; brother, Leroy Housewright; sister, Betty White and her husband, Larry; eight grandchildren; as well as many other friends and neighbors. A celebration of Charles life will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
