Carl Laken Atherton III

Carl Laken Atherton III, a landscaper and resident of Quinlan, Texas, passed on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the age of 72.

Carl was born on January 1, 1954 in Ohio to Billie Jean Stilly and James Stilly. He graduated from T. Jefferson High School and worked as a landscaper and painter all his life. He married Linda, his high school sweetheart, and had two loving boys.

Carl was a reputable man . He loved old cars, good times, garage saleing, fishing, and the Dallas Cowboys.. He loved hanging out with family and friends. Carl was a jack of all trades throughout his life. He was an adventurous guy and a great story teller, as well as a great listener. Carl was always there for anyone that was in need. Carl was a good family man raising two great men.
