Bobby Calhoun

Bobby James Calhoun, Papa , of Quinlan, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 in his home. Services held on Thursday, March 10 at Quinlan Funeral Home. Mr. Calhoun was born on July 5, 1936, on the side of the San Saba River in a tent, the son of Albert Calhoun and Minnie Opal Bailey. He is survived by his wife and true love of 42 years, Peggy Jo Chambers; four sons, Jon Calhoun and his wife Gloria of West Palm Beach, Florida, Gary Calhoun and his wife Teresa of Quinlan, Steven Calhoun of Quinlan, and Gregory Calhoun and his wife Wendy of Quinlan; eight granddaughters; one grandson; and 19 great grandchildren. He leaves behind three sisters, Audrey Pennington of Edgewood, Sue Shannon of Hugo, Oklahoma, and Lavonda Wilson of Paris; and one brother, Leo Calhoun of Gladewater. He is preceded in his death by his mother and father, Opal and Albert Calhoun and brothers, Edward Gerald Calhoun and William David Calhoun. He will be missed.
