Billy Wayne Dixon

Veteran, son, brother, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa, Billy Wayne died peacefully in his bed in the early morning hours of August 20^th, 2022.

Grandpa loved routine, v8, vanilla Ensure, a lot of vanilla creamer with a little bit of coffee, vanilla Blue Bell ice cream, and tending to his garden. Grandpa always smelled so good. He would wear his Brute, Aqua Velva and blue Polo cologne every day. He always had Smack Em(if you know you know) and would let you use it over and over. Grandpa always had mints in his shirt pocket and would give you his last one if you asked. He wore starched jeans and western shirts and boots. No outfit complete without some type of Army or veteran hat. Grandpa was a Christian man who believed dearly in God and read his Bible and prayed daily. Grandpa was a proud veteran who flew his flag wherever he lived. Grandpa was a prankster he loved to get you with his fart machine, and he liked laughing to Richard Pryor and Ray Stevens.

Grandpa often spoke of his parents John Leonard and Lou Anna Dixon. He had eight siblings John, Willam Henry, Margaret, Sue, Wanda, Herman, Reeves, and Ernestine. Grandpa was the last to join them in heaven. He leaves behind 3 sons: Tony, David, and Tom. He had several grandkids and a few great grandkids, some by birth and some he gained along the way.

His viewing is Thursday August 25^th, 2022 at Quinlan Funeral home at 11am. Funeral service to follow at 12pm. He will be laid to rest next to his mom and dad and brother Herman in Quinlan Texas, exactly as he wished.
