Betty Alexander

Betty Alexander , 89, of Quinlan passed away on December 31, 2016 in Rockwall. Betty was born on May 2, 1927 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to her parents, Maxwell Greer Voorhees and Dorothy Rose (Murdock) Voorhees. Betty married Archie Alexander and he preceded her in death in 2008. She was a member of the Harvest Bible Church in Cash. Betty was a Pediatric Naval Nurse and was a Nurse for Citizens General in Greenville until her retirement in 1988.

Betty was also preceded in her death by her parents, Maxwell and Dorothy Voorhees; her two brothers, William Voorhees and Robert Voorhees Sr.

Those who are cherishing the memories of her life are her daughter, Tammy Smith and her husband David of Quinlan; grandchildren, Christopher Jones of Quinlan, Dawn Eichman and her husband Roary of Bonham, and Katherine Warren of Quinlan; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Bishop, Robert Bishop, Trey Bishop, Hope Eichman, Gracie Eichman, and Chloe Jones; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Betty will be held at a future date.
