Bertha Phillips

Bertha "Sue" Frances Green Phillips, 66, of Quinlan passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in Rockwall. She was born in Dallas on June 2, 1953 the daughter of Joe Levi and Taffie Lee Green. Sue married Floyd Phillips in Quinlan on July 25, 1975. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Quinlan.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Floyd Phillips; daughter, Melissa Doyle; granddaughter, Emma Doyle; son-in-law, Heath Doyle; brother, Joe Green (Janice); sisters, Rhonda Booher (Tim), Sandy Dickerson (Dale), and Nova Coleman; sisters-in-law, Betty Borthick and Leah Smith (Wayne); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tommy Phillips; brother, Forest Green; and brother-in-law, Carroll Borthick.

A funeral service will be held at Quinlan Funeral Home on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park with Heath Doyle, Austin Morgan, Joe Green, Jason Green, Dale Dickerson, and Tim Booher serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremiah Smith, Jacob Smith, Ashley Shaddox, and Destini Coleman. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Quinlan Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
