Bennet "Earl" Tallant

Emblem
In loving memory of Bennet Earl Tallant, affectionately known as "Earl", a man whose life was a tapestry woven with threads of humor, kindness, and unforgettable moments. Born in Kaufman County, Texas on the 3rd of March, 1942, Bennet's journey on this earth came to a peaceful close in Rockwall, Texas on the 13th of March, 2024.

Earl's legacy encompasses not only his jovial personality but also his remarkable achievements. A proud United States Army Specialist Airborne Medic, he served his country with honor and dedication. Among his proudest accomplishments were not just his service in the military but also his role as a devoted father and grandfather.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Earl will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. Whether it was his penchant for playing jokes, being both silly and grumpy simultaneously, or his love for tinkering with mechanics and fixing things, Earl's presence always brought laughter and warmth to those around him. His interests were as diverse as they were colorful - from watching Westerns to indulging in fried fish, spending time with loved ones, riding motorcycles, driving his beloved Mustang, or partaking in the joys of hunting and fishing.

One memory that stands out vividly is Christmas of 2015 when Earl undertook a four-hour drive to Kyle on Christmas Eve to surprise his family. It was gestures like these that exemplified the depth of his love and generosity towards those dear to him.

Earl now leaves behind a legacy that will be carried on by those closest to him. He is reunited in eternal peace with his wife and partner of 48 years Vicki Tallant; sister Margie Boon;  brother Gartrell Tallant and his parents, Bennet A. Tallant and Edith Dykes Tallant; . He is survived by his son Walton Tallant and Sarah, grandsons Walton Tallant II, Zachary Tallant, and Noah Tallant. Earl also leaves behind his sister, Helen Tallant Belew; brother Guy Tallant and Pam, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will always hold him dear in their hearts.

His final moments were a reflection of the love that encompassed his life - surrounded by his beloved family.

May we find solace in knowing that Earl's spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear and may his soul rest in eternal peace.

In Loving Memory,
Bennet Earl Tallant (1942-2024)
