Aldean Corwin

Aldean Elaine (Whittaker) Corwin, 81 of Rockwall Texas, formerly of Peoria Il, died quietly October 7th 2011 at Essential Living Residential Home after a recent illness. Aldean was born to Robert H Whittaker and Bernice (Newton) Whittaker and raised in Toulon Il, She married James M Corwin and moved to Peoria Il, where she resided for 40 years. She worked as a real estate agent for Hodges and CNR real estate company until she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She moved to Texas 4 years ago to live with her son. During retirement her passion was being with family, her carving, arts and crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband James in 1967, her parents and a grandson Blake Phelan. She is survived by her sister Shirley and Howie Fry, Her children Rick and Pam Corwin, Pensacola Fl; Dee (Corwin) and John Phelan, Garner NC; Gary and Barb Corwin, Excelsior MN; Randy and Liz Corwin, Peoria Il; Louie and Pat Corwin, Rockwall Tx. She was also blessed with eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will be cremated on Saturday October 8th,2011. Her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at a memorial service that will take place at 10 am on Monday October 10th, Dayspring Discipleship Institute, 505 Boydstun, Rockwall, Tx 75087. Phil Nigh and Brenda Cox will officiate. Immediately following will be a reception in her honor. Her final resting place will be next to her husband in Compton, IL. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
