Addie Sue Lemons

Addie Sue Lemons, a loving mother and grandmother and resident of Quinlan, Texas, passed on October 25, 2025 at the age of 73.

Addie is survived by brother, Walter Lemons; sons, Michael Lemons, Marcus Lemons and wife Dawn, Marvin Woodson; daughters, Misty Kilpatrick, Meloni Methvin and husband Randy, Marla Woodson. She is preceded in death by father, Theo Lemons; mother, Judith Lemons; brothers, Clifford Lemons, Bill Lemons, Kenneth Lemons; sisters, Ruth Wilson, Elsie Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

Addie was born on May 10, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to Theo and Judith Lemons. She attended Rockwall High School and worked as a nurse assistant for twenty years. Addie married Marvin Woodson, Sr. in 1984 at the Justice of the Peace in Dallas. She has a thirteen year old dog named Chica.

Addie was a wild child. She grew up racing cars on the streets of Rockwall, Texas. She settled down after her sixth child was in middle school. She loved all her kids. She had eleven grandbabies, Brianna Gaylen, Kayla Mason, Aaron Darean, Dramen Austin, McKenzie Tuff, Kierra; eight great-grandbabies, Tanner, Kaylie, Carter, Gemma, Emma, Brielle, Ryan, Cade, with baby boy Harris on the way in 2026. She also had six fur-grandbabies, Lucy, Jax, Hannah, Dalila, Otis, Channel; and three great-grand-furbabies, Whiskey, Benny, Blueberry.

A funeral service for Sue will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Quinlan Funeral Home. Visitation will take place two hours prior. Pastor Mike Dunham will officiate. Burial will take place following the service at Heath Cemetery in Heath, Texas.
